PERCENT takes part in WVSA conference, becomes a WVSA member

President of PERCENT Corporation for Polling Research Mohammed Addahri participated in the 2014 general assembly and conference of the World Value Survey Association (WVSA), which was hosted by Qatar University last week. The conference was attended by more 40 key researchers from worldwide universities and research institutes with the aim of launching the sixth wave of data of WVSA surveys, which involved PERCENT Corporation in Yemen. 
The three-day conference reviewed a number of researches and presentations about social changes in the world, based on the results of the sixth wave survey, conducted in more than 52 countries, including 12 Arab countries. From his side, PERCENT President Addahri presented the Yemen survey results. 
The conference included a meeting for the WVSA general assembly, and discussion and vote of the WVSA draft Articles of Incorporation, as well as launch of the new WVSA website. The conference also included a workshop for discussing the survey and quality control methodologies, in addition to a number of meetings for the Executive Board and organizers. 
Established in 1981 as a non-profit research corporation, WVSA is committed to academic and WVS standards on social researches, as well as the standards of World Association for Public Opinion Research (WAPOR). The WVSA aims to enhance the understanding of international changes through accumulated data of worldwide-implemented studies, and it makes the results and data of its researches available for free on its website.
